Update 3 to be released on 23rd May in US.

The official release date for “Update 3″ is the 23rd May. There is a preview of various features over on the “Massively” website. Obviously this new content is only applicable to US customers as Codmeasters are no longer applying updates to the EU build of the game. As the European service is due to be migrated only 8 days later it would be a somewhat redundant exercise (although I’m sure die hard fans would argue otherwise). Among the new content is the instance “The Inn Of The Forsaken” that has come in for some criticism for being closer to the “The Goonies” than “The Lord Of The Rings”

Once again I feel the need to raise the question about exactly how much downtime will EU players face during the migration process. Is not the treasure hunt event in Ered Luin only available for a limited period of time?  I do hope that this has been taken into consideration and that a substantial part of the new global LOTRO community do not end up missing out on anything. Perhspas there will be some clarification on this matter from our good friend Sapience?
