Due to hectic schedules and and the respective time difference between the US and the UK, this weeks podcast is hosted by just me. However, this is not to be a regular occurrence and Brian will be joining me again next week. In this episode I look at Turbine’s recent Bringing Rohan to Life video and the first glimpse of the Argonath. I also discuss the mystery of the barn full of chickens which will intrigue LOTRO fans, who have a proven track record when it comes to poultry based fetishes. I also review two big summer releases, Total Recall and The Bourne Legacy. I also ponder on the imminent release of Guild Wars 2. Will it be the last “big” MMO?
Here is the full running order of this weeks show:
- LOTRO news: Once again Turbine have proven their skill in realising Middle-Earth. Will the other iconic locations that will feature in Riders of Rohan live up to LOTRO players expectations? I also give my impressions on playing through the revised Mines of Moria. Is it a successful redevelopment or simply a way of quickly moving players on towards level cap? [Starts at 02:52]
- Movie reviews: I look at two of this summers big blockbuster, event movies. Total Recall and The Bourne Legacy. Are Colin Farrell and Jeremy Renner suitable replacements for Arnold Schwarzenegger and Matt Damon? Are these movies good examples of contemporary film making and do they fulfil the audiences expectations? [Starts at 12:24]
- Guild Wars 2 launches soon: As we approach yet another big budget MMO release, will Guild Wars 2 be the success it is expected to be? Also, don’t forget to enter the CMP Guild Wars 2 competition for your chance to be playing the game on launch day.? [Starts at 37:15]
The podcasts are intended to be broad in content and casual in their nature. They are fun to record and are intended to inform and amuse. All opinions offered are our own and do not reflect any official view held by the game developers or film studios whose products we discuss. There is some strong language used occasionally. Roger,
I noticed that your Sign-off in this episode seemed much more polished and natural without a co-host there to point out how lame and awkward it is.. Coincidence?
Cheers,
